Ergonomic design of human machine interfaces for complex technical systems
The racing pace of development in the area of microelectronics is bringing with it a myriad of new devices with numerous technical functions for all aspects of life. Facing this flood of new technology are human beings, who possess a limited, but highly developed mental ability to receive - and process - information. Unfortunately, the trend appears to be that technology is overloading the human to an ever increasing extent. Whether in everyday life or in complex technical units, the issue of “human oriented” design of user interfaces is ever more essential.
This topic will be addressed at the seminar "Ergonomic design of human machine interfaces in complex technical systems". It is intended for Managers and Programmers throughout industry. It will provide pointers about the design of human machine interfaces and tips on future developments in the field.
