At rapidly increasing frequency, new products with added features keep hitting the market. Their developers cannot afford long development times anymore, though. Therefore, they rely on modern development methods, whose primary representatives in software engineering are Modelling and Meta-Modelling.

In our practical workshop (Workshop-Programm) we present basics and potentials of model-based software development and meta-modelling. Exemplified for the engineering of user-friendly human-machine interface for whole product lines, e.g. for global export, we teach and practice methodologies for structured, model-based software development. Additionally, an overview of trends and technologies such as domain-specific modeling languages, UML, and Useware Engineering, is provided.
