The Center for Human Machine Interaction (ZMMI) has been active since 1998 in the field of user interface design for technical systems. A significant amount of experience in the design of user oriented systems has been attained during this time from many – sometimes international – joint projects with industry. The benefits of this experience have been applied to the design of individual technical devices as well as to the unification of operability philosophies for entire product lines.
